What is the Cycle to Work Scheme?

The Cycle to Work scheme is a UK government initiative that lets you save up to 47% on a new bike and cycling accessories. It works as a salary sacrifice arrangement — your employer purchases the bike on your behalf, and you repay the cost from your gross salary in monthly instalments, meaning you pay less income tax and National Insurance.

How to Use the Scheme at Crush

1. Check your employer participates — confirm with your HR or payroll team that your company is signed up to a Cycle to Work provider (e.g. Cyclescheme, Vivup, Green Commute Initiative, or similar).
2. Apply through your provider — log in to your scheme provider's portal and apply for a certificate or voucher up to your agreed limit.
3. Bring your certificate in-store or redeem online — once approved, visit us in store or contact us to place your order. We accept certificates from all major scheme providers.
4. Choose your bike and accessories — your certificate can cover a bike plus eligible accessories such as helmets, locks, lights, and cycling clothing.
5. Collect and ride — once your order is processed, collect your new bike and start saving on your commute.
